Fixing Common VDI Issues

Please refer to the troubleshooting section for the brand of zero client you are using.


LG

Screen is tinted, blurry, or too bright/dark

Cause: A student has likely adjusted the monitor color settings.
Solution: To reset the color settings, press the following buttons below the monitor:
MENU, AUTO, AUTO, CLOUD

Client won't wake up or shows "Cloud Power Saving Mode"

Cause: The client has frozen or crashed, and needs a hard reset.
Solution: Unplug the power cable from the back of the screen, and plug it back in. If this does not work, try pressing the power button multiple times. If the client still does not respond, please submit a help ticket requesting service.

"No Signal - Check Connection" error on screen

Cause: The monitor is trying to connect to a video cable instead of a VDI session.
Solution: Press the CLOUD button.

Screen is tinted, blurry, or too bright/dark

Cause: A student has likely adjusted the monitor color settings.
Solution: To reset the color settings, press the following buttons below the monitor:
MENU, DOWN x4 (to Extra), MENU, DOWN, MENU, MENU

Client won't wake up or shows "No Signal"

Cause: The client is looking for a video input, or has frozen.
Solution: Try pressing the power button if there are no green lights on the front. If screen displays "No Signal", press the AUTO button twice, and then MENU. If this does not bring up the login screen, try unplugging the power from the back of the screen, and then plugging it back in. If the client still does not respond, please submit a help ticket requesting service.
